Grand Finale Dance Party for the 2012 Magic Love Bus Journey

In mid April the Magic Love Bus Journey cast off from San Francisco dedicated to “healing divisions – coast to coast” by bringing people of all colors, creeds and classes together on the Bus to share music, food, ideas and their hearts. Since then Bus has hosted free events all across America, providing a platform for free expression and a vehicle for personal and group transformation.

The 2012 Magic Love Bus Journey celebrates the completion of its amazing San Francisco to Asheville, two month coast to coast journey, with a dance party and closing ceremony in Pack Square on Sunday, July 1st from 3pm to 10pm.

The 2012 Magic Love Bus Journey is dedicated to “healing divisions – coast to coast” by bringing people of all colors, creeds and classes together on the Bus to share music, food, ideas and their hearts.

The Bus is metaphorically and literally a platform for free expression and a vehicle for personal and group transformation. It has a new rooftop stage and sound system, which it has been providing free to musicians, performers, speakers and audiences across America.

The crew has been sharing food, music, dancing, campfires, mind and heart opening movies and hosting discussions at local gatherings along the route as a way of raising social consciousness to heal divisions and create heart based connections.  They’ve also been recording interviews and sharing what they learn on their cross country field trip online at MagicLoveBus.org.

The 2012 Magic Love Bus Journey launched from San Francisco's Ocean Beach on Saturday, April 14 with a cast off ceremony that included ritual, dancing and music.  The Journey has so far traveled down the coast of California, through the Southwest and is now in Austin, Texas on its way into the deep south and up the East Coast (see MagicLoveBus.org for “Bus Route” and documentation of the journey).

LovEvolutionSolution.org, the web community sponsoring the journey, was founded late last year by a couple who participated in Occupy Wall Street in NYC and came to believe that true transformational change required a heart based LovEvolution that was inclusive of all people, not just 99%. They are part of the seven member crew that’s bringing the Bus to dozens of locations en route to the east coast.

This event is free and open to all peoples and is family friendly and drug and alcohol free. We invite people to bring food to share. The intention of the Magic Love Bus crew and Titus Farm is to heal divisions and create heart-based connections.

More than anywhere, Vegas, especially the Strip, needs the LovEvolution. So the Magic Love Bus brought it to them by cruising up and down the Strip, while LovEvolutionaries on the Bus, including Elvis, sang Beattles’ love songs and invited people to get on the Bus for the LovEvolution. On the side of the Bus played an animation encouraging people to “Bet on themselves”.

But most people on the strip were there to bet on “winning” money, drink, “getting lucky” and or some other distraction. The few who did come near the Bus typically asked what it cost. But in Vegas, who can blame them for being skeptical.

Yet despite the odds, we attracted a busload of beautiful and animated people. We had a blast singing and calling out to everyone on the strip.  And Elvis found a new calling – “Make the best gamble on the strip. Bet on yourself and get on board for the LovEvolution. Thank you very much.”

For three days such a place exists just north of Joshua Tree National Park during the annual spring and Fall Bhakti Festivals. The Bhakti and Shakti festivals are vehicles for the evolution of human consciousness through a heart-centered revolution. Bhakti means love. So how fitting that the Magic Love Bus was invited to the spring Bhakti Festival, known as Shakti Fest, to lend its built in sound system to the musicians.

We immersed ourselves in yoga, dance and beautiful interactions with hundreds of peace lovers who loved the Bus. By night we hosted electronic devotional music and ecstatic dance. Our spirits, bodies and minds were renewed and rejuvenated.

The Magic Love Bus and crew made a field trip to this lush paradise of indigenous palm trees nourished by flowing cold spring fed creeks. We washed our bodies, minds and spirits clean in these renewing and invigorating waters. To love nature is to love your soul.
